Jonathan Kamanou

FOUNDER & CEO

Jonathan brings a wealth of intimate country knowledge and an extensive network to the table, having been born in the U.S. and raised in Cameroon. With over 12 years of lived experience in Douala, he possesses a deep understanding of the local culture and business environment. 

Jonathan has gained financial and private company knowledge through his professional experience. He worked in Private Equity at AEA Investors, with a focus on industrials and tech-enabled services, and in Investment Banking at Lazard, where he specialized in healthcare M&A. This varied experience has provided him with a wealth of insights and proficiency across multiple sectors.

He holds a B.S. from Cornell University, where he majored in Business and Finance and minored in Computer Science.
